Types of T9 transformer

• Step-Up Transformers

  A step-up transformer increases the voltage from the primary to the secondary coil. These devices are usually used in power generation factories. Here, they're utilized to transport power through lines.

• Step-Down Transformers

  Step-down transformers do the contrary of step-up transformers. They decrease the voltage, which is important for inverter coils. It makes the voltage safe for home use. These transformers are widely found in electrical gadgets. For example, refrigerators, air conditioning systems, and heating systems.

• Isolation Transformer

  An isolation transformer is built to reduce the voltage. However, the purpose here isn't to permit the voltage to be used directly. Instead, this transformer is designed to enhance safety. It does this by isolating the power source from the device plugged into it. Even though they are mostly used for safety, isolation transformers are also used to minimize noise on lines that carry sensitive signals. This is especially true in audio equipment.
